Hope you guys are enjoying the liberation after A Levels yeaps! Once again, it's time for another BN CLASS GATHERING! Some of us are thinking of having STEAMBOAT at Su Rong's or Xinying's place (both their houses are at the Eunos area) after which we can play mahjong/watch DVD/play bridge/stone/CATCH UP AND REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES :D

The tentative details are

Date: 23 Decemeber (Wednesday)

Time: 2pm (for shopping)/ 6pm (for steamboat)

Oh, all these are not confirmed yet, so feel free to tell me

Another thing, I was thinking of having another class gathering next year to Chung Cheng (probably in Early Jan before the guys go to NS) to visit our teachers as we were unable to visit them during teacher's day this year due to prelims... so tell me if you are for the idea ok! That's all I have to say (for now), will be spamming your emails for more updates so do check regularly k!

yes I know. This post is 10 days late.
But i thought, if I didnt put these up, no one would..

thanks to ALL those who came for the Youth Day Vivo Outing.

So, that day only 10 people turned up. We had quite a hard time deciding for a movie initally so we decided to eat lunch at White Dog Cafe.

Then, we went to Daiso and that's when the guys split up with the girls (ok sounds wrong, but you get the idea). Then we went back to the cinema, but Yi Ting had left by then and Li Hui and company was also going to leave so that means FIVE people left.

So we went to watch Kung Fu Panda. (seriously, the choice of movies at that time were rather pathetic..and no one wanted to watch nonsense)

The current plan is to have lunch. Then we go for a movie.

PLACES TO HAVE LUNCH:
-Sakura (Marine Parade...should be most accessible)
-Yuki Yaki (Marina Square)
-Seoul Garden
-Shodoku
-Marche
-Food court

Sakura cost about $20 per person. Large international buffet and quite big i presume.
Yuki Yaki is more expensive. You get to DIY/cook your own icecream, a gd dining experience.
Seoul Garden is cheaper than the above two. but food-wise, i'm not sure.
Shodoku is this Japanese food 'market' that sells many many types of food. Not sure about cost. It is at Citilink.
Marche is at Vivo. Swiss restaurant.
Food court is the cheapest but space wise...hmmm

Hello!!
I shall now present you all with life at Njc, since I’m the only one from the class who had been there. I'll post about hcjc if i have free time, since I'm biased towards nj and i like nj more.haaah. So here comes Nj:

1)If you all still don't know, Nj uniform is grey in colour with 2 buttons on the shoulders and 2 buttons on the chest for guys and only 2 buttons on the shoulders for girls. Nj is very strict with their uniform, they don't allow short skirts, the folding of sleeves and even using draw strings and their discipline mistress is really scary. So you just have to force yourself to look like a nerd? Or just take the risk, wear short skirt, fold your sleeves, then run away whenever you see the discipline mistress.

2)My first impression of it was kind of sucky because it’s a small school with a small canteen and small classrooms without air con and lousy ventilation. But after a few weeks, though it’s still a small school with a small canteen and small classrooms without air con and lousy ventilation, I grew to like it a lotttt cause the Nj spirit is really strong and it makes studying there really fun. Nj is so much more fun than hci.

3) Nothing is nice in Nj, except the people. The people are really really nice, that’s why I couldn’t bear to leave my class for hcjc after pae. Although we didn’t have a class bench, we’ll all sit around at one orange round table during our breaks, as well as after school. Then we’ll talk and mug together, and yeah talking about mugging….

4) Nj is really muggy, like what people always say. You can just mug as and when you like, without fearing that some people will find you uncool and ostracize you hahah, and I find this so cool. Where else can you find such a culture? I bet if you do that in Acjc you will have no friends at all lollll. But but but I must clarify that Nj is not so damn mug that if you put a mp3 and a stack of notes on the table, the stacks of notes will be stolen instead of the mp3, like what my friend said.

5) Nj pe kills. The pe teachers think that since we paid for our education, which includes pe, we should make full use of it and make sure we don’t waste our money. So, they try to kill us by making us run like crazy, like 1 round as warm up + 10 rounds around the track under the hot sun.

6)My maths teacher is super funnnnny!! Look at these :

mr neo : you are in nj lah, you stupid girl!

These are just some of the many quotes my pae classmates who are still in nj took down during math lessons. We just love this crazy math teacher cause he's full of crap.

7) There are 6 houses in Nj i think, if i remember correctly. Blue, red, yellow, green, purple and orange( they have some cool names but i forgot most of them alr. ha, I only remember my house, which is blue, is called Aqua.) It's quite cool cause we'll stand with our houses during flag raising and the house coordinators will raise a flag with the house logo when the school song is being sung.

8) Lastly Nj is also called Hci – hill crest institution. Apparently some bo liao copy cat came up with that since Nj sits on hill crest road, thus that name.

hey hey... well after some 'nagging' from some people... i'm here to blog about my school... sorry that i've taken sometime... been very busy... yea i know "it's the holidays, how busy can you get?" ... well you guys know me... there's always something for me to do... lol.. anyway back to my school...

yay.. okay...

1. Students for most of the week do not necessarily have to be in full uniform... other than weds which is tie day.. the rest of the days we can wear the college polo tshirt which i find more comfortable and does not have the green colour of that of the uniform.. further more the friday of every week of school is some sort of 'casual' friday - everyone including teachers can choose to wear school shirts (i.e. cca shirt, class shirt, school event shirt, you get the idea) so in theory you only need one full set of uniform plus a couple more of school pants/skirts... but you need another extra just in case anyway... the colour of the uniform fades extremely fast... it's only been like half a year and my uniform looks like it has been worn for more than a year.. lol...

2. tj is the second largest college in s'pore... or was it the third... well anyway it is definitely larger than chung cheng... and i had already found chung cheng quite large already... the tallest building there is five storeys high... so it's quite a climb up the stairs... especially when the classroom is at the top.. oh well.. and well unlike vj you may not be able to meet someone u know when you move around school... it depends on both people timetables and how many people you know... lol..

3. and speaking of classrooms... for such a big campus.. you can actually get lost and not find the classroom you are looking for... well that's when you don't know how the coding works... and also a bit of how the arrangement of the different rooms... every classroom have a 3digit code... so well the first digit is usually the numbers 1-5 which indicates the level the classroom is at.. then the next two digits is like the room number of a hotel... so usually classrooms with numbers 20 and above are in the main building and below ten are in the ip block... then if the room starts with a 'C' then it's a container classroom located in the corner of the school...

4. there are four houses... well not creatively named like the other colleges aforementioned... but still they are houses... so they are 'ALPHA warriors' , 'BETA knights' (house colour is white) , 'GAMMA gods' (my house :D) and 'DELTA dragons' . but usually we only refer to the four houses by their first name as in the the capitalized words... so alpha beta gamma and delta.. you might mistake i'm doing some maths or physics question... but it's the name of the four houses... very uninteresting rite... so we use much cooler names during J1 orientation ... like for this year... during the orientations both first intake and second .. alpha was Zephon (wolves as the mascot) , beta was erypion (scorpion as the mascot), gamma was Panthera (lion as the mascot) and delta was Slithas (snake as the mascot)....

5. even though we have a big campus much of it is the field, the running tracks, the sport complex and some car park.. so for a school with a huge population of students and teachers it can get quite cramped especially at the corridors and stairs between lessons when everyone is moving around school... the corridors especially at the main building are wide enough for 3 persons to walk abreast... so it's quite cramped for like over thirty students to walk along it in both directions.. furthermore you have to occasionally navigate around open doors of classrooms along the corridors... so congestion are a common sight...

6. okay... on to the food at the canteen... well i wouldn't recommend any of the stalls there except the fruit stall which sells fresh fruits, fresh juice, soya bean drinks, milk shakes and desserts at low prices... one big cup of soya bean drink costs only 40cents... and the most expensive thing you can buy there only costs $1.50 unless you ask for no ice which costs 30cents more... really cheap considering how expensive drinks can get outside... as for the other stalls there isn't any that really stands out as much... really those standard stuff.... the western one is not bad.. a bit expensive though... the vegetarian one too... oh but i would advise you in against buying food from the noodle stall... that one is not worth the money at all... i rather wait at a longer queue than buy from there... the noodles can sometimes be very chewy and the soup i find salty.. basically doesn't taste nice at all... well you might now think that our life at tj will be mundane with all the same old not really appetizing food everyday.. but the great thing with our school is that after 12.30pm everyone can leave campus to have their lunch elsewhere.. usually opposite school at the hawker centre where there are loads of great food or if there's time then can walk or take bus to bedok interchange there and have some fastfood... so we are really spoilt for choice... well those people with lunch breaks before 12.30pm then too bad, have to eat in school.. but that's hardly the case... my class only have that one day per week...

7.oh and most people here are really friendly and fun... well probably not until to the extent of vj's enthusiasm but we still enjoy having fun... afterall one of the Principal's motto is to have a holistic education... so striking a balance is important... between work, play, cca (which we call as pdp - personal development programme) and cip (which we call as Outreach programme) ... and at the same time develop core values of 'Passion, Purpose, Drive, Integrity and Care for others' ... so ya you get the idea... thought it may sound a bit cliche... anyway well i think it is partly because of these that we get to have interesting contact time (equals to assembly) and college events like we had a group of musicians that performs somewhat like stomp for contact time... we had local bands and Switchfoot performing at our school... we have school events like Mardi Grads where everyone including teachers can dress up in costumes, students can showcase their talents and set up stalls for that night... and so on... so well our school culture is not really muggish.. nor a play hard work hard kind of thing... hmm.. kind of like what we had in chung cheng... sigh.. do miss that chung cheng...

oh well hope to see you guys soon if have the chance... enjoy the rest of your holidays.. well even though there's exams after that but still it's the holidays... :D

Hi!! Guess who??? ArHARHArHAr.. u'll find out soon enough!! =)

SO i was like the many of us who clicked on the link to this blog every now and then to reminisce about the good ole days where we ACTUALLY thought life was tough. Yep.. Life just gets tougher. So anyway, then I saw this chain ( not really one, cause there was only 2 ) of posts about jcs... So without further ado..

presenting....

MY TAKE ON M..........J.C!!!! YAY!!! whistles* juggles pots and pans* (and fails to do so as there is homework to be done..)

1) So. Contrary to popular belief that M...... .J is a mugger junior college, M......... J ain just a mugger college!! Its a DAMN MUGGER mug till u die College... As in seriously, maybe its true for other jcs as well, but i wouldnt know, would i? Walk into the school on a nice Monday morning, no make it every morning, and guess what you see? Study benches! Everywhere, at the concourse, at the atrium, at the quadrangle, etc. And the best thing is, people are REALLY using them. Its really unlike chungcheng where it's one of those rare gems who actually use the concourse study benches for STUDYing. Really, these study benches are booked from before sch to after school by its students. Its amazing how with all the studying being done, so many get retained and kicked out of school.

2) Right so moving on to my second point.... The next big woo-haa about M... .J.C: its retainees. The truth is, its not the number of retainees that are scary, you call 25, shocking? Thats just a sliver of the number of students that did not pass their promos.. So, this is actually what happens. Gazillions fail their promos, the best few get retained, the rest? Bye =) and thats not to mentioned the subsequent number of people who drop out of school in their second year after "hints" and "suggestions" that an alternate educational pathway might by more feasible.

3) So what's left after all the slashing and doing away of students? The batch of polished gems - machines capable of slogging it out day and night just for a single test. And as the year end approached, a new batch of rocks are being sent up for inspection.. And Don't We All Want To Make It...

4) Hmmm.. tests.. right. Never underestimate THE TEST in M.J to pass a test, is deemed commendable, a C grade is applaudable, a B grade is rare. and an A grade. wow. Yup.. and to fail? ain nothing much. Here's a live stat. Moi over here achieved a 5/25 for my math lecture test. A U. As with a few hundred people. I checked my percentile? 50% Oh wow, 50% scored slower than me! o.O so im actually above average with a U grade.. (pats on my back)

5) The canteen food is 'orrible!!! We have sakae sushi. But it closed down. DOn't get me wrong, i hate sakae. saying that, i ain biased or what, cause most of the school population don't go to the sakae outlet at our canteen, and so it closed down. Awww.... The main point is. Its VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!!! ARGH!!!! that goes to the other stores! The cheapest "filling" meal i can get is chicken rice at the cost of $2. And its barely filling, its not just me ok, even my class' uber-skinny girls agree... And the variety.. Disgustin.. For a picky eater like me. Food as sadly been warped into a chore and no longer a joy. Gone were the days where I salivate and gush in joy at the sight of delicious bar chor mee. Or the delectable char kuay teow. In my canteen. Its either chicken rice, malay rice, chinese rice, western(long queue long wait and expensive..) and noodles(variety sucks there as well). So I usually end up eating chicken rice 4 times a week. and noodles like 7 times a wk. Its really sad.. Me and my friends practically weep in joy when the noodles auntie introduced a new ingredient of curry vegetables. Imagine our plight..

6) PE is seriously horrible. They love to make us run. Like mad. Run Run Run. "8laps around the track boys, and before you start, do a lap first as a warm up" .... 9 laps u mean.... and the conditioning exercises after then runs are a killer.. And they make poor guys like me do pull ups every single day to train our muscles to hit the magical 5 to pass Napfa next year before NS... Every single day!! =(

7) And to end off, their e-learning schedules might actually works cause they don't use the same old format most schools use: elearning homework given. everyone does it at the last minute... Oh noo... they make a real time table.. so lets say H2 math.. A lecture of 50min is uploaded onto the webbie and only will be allowing access from 8am to 9am. So poor souls like me have to drag our butts out of bed at 8am to "attend" the lecture online. And guess when the elearning day ends? 7pm at night.. horrible isnt it?

Alright, too lazy to continue writing bout school facilities and all that, so till then.. when life gets tough in ya JCs. think. Somewhere out there, there is someone like me who is slogging away in this kinda place.. So appreciate where you are studying at yar.. hahaha

HEY PEOPLE!

finally some Life to this blog. But we hope you will still read it yea?

Anyway, Holidays are coming! In one week's time. Someone do arrange for an outing if possible.

and we MUST GO BACK to say bye-bye to Mdm Tan!!! remember this.

Now that Xinying has brought up this Blog-About-Your-JC idea, I shall continue with V...J!

(i will TRY my best to make it as interesting as xinying's hahaha)

1. Well, V's culture is well, as all of you should know, very High and Fun. It's more angmoh as well.

2. V's uniform is beige-in-colour. Guys must wear a maroon belt. Tie day is friday and the tie is maroon as well. Actually it does go quite well with the whole uniform. Sorry no picture :P

3. There are six houses in V and they are named after constellations (apparently...). So we have, Pegasus, Draco, Ursa, Lynx, Aquilla and Phoenix (my house). And they call Sports Day "STAR WARS CHALLENGE". There are no House days (i think) like RJ but we just where our House Tees anytime after school we want. And no pic again. Srry. :P

4. And well, V's goal is to beat R and HC (lol..so sorry xinying). Coz it's like, we are the third JC afterall and those two are the top 2. So yea, whenever we beat the other two schools in some event, the school cheers louder than usual.

5. Sometimes, in certain informal events when we sing the College Anthem, some students will initiate the "YO V_ C" cheer immediately after it. (but i just...stand there and stone :D)

6. V students normally shout for "FULL DAY" (which means Full Day Off) during assemblies after several announcements of victory. And usually the principal will try to...soothe the crowd and crap up something.

7. V students go to Thai Pan MOST of the time because the Thai Pan van comes to V and bring students into the condo area where the restaurant is located. That's mostly where they eat lunch and stuff because the school canteen closes very early.

8. For me personally, I always chill out at the school comlabs with my classmates. Yea, Comlabs are open to students all the time because they May be lessons held in there. Sometimes, I might even go the one of the com labs which have Counter-Strike and Dota. So I just play CS. :P

(that's the very cool thing in V...hehehe)

9. In contrast with Raffles, V is a small school. And almost every 1-2 metres you walk, you might see someone you know. Imagine going "Hey Hi!" for don't know how many times each day. And then, absence does not make the heart fonder in anyway.

10. All classrooms in V are air-conditioned. But some are so big and 'air-y' it's hard to hear what the teacher's saying due to the big space above our heads. BUT the air-cons in V keep dying after every few months and in this half a year, all the LTs I have been to had their air-cons repaired. There was once, when I heard this Roaring and growling sound in the LT for half an hour and then the air-con died =.=

11. There is VERY poor reception in LTs and sometimes even around the school for non-Singtel users. Basically, no one has any reception in 'underground' LTs.

12. PRCs love libraries.

13. I once experienced a blackout in school. Power trip. And we had lesson in the 'dark'.

14. Ok ok, back to a GOOD thing about the school. V HAS 3 TREEHOUSES and an IGLOO! it's basically where we are allowed to play cards and stuff. It so happens that Bridge is this V culture as well. For me, in Air Rifle, you can always see people playing bridge. And in Igloo, there is an Xbox, Table soccer, Pool etc.

That's All i have for now! hahaha..can't think of anymore. ANother bad thing is that, the school's canteen is really horrible. It's stuffy and hot. :X

Hahaha i clicked on this link out of the blue and realised that i of all people shouldn't be letting this blog die after putting in so much effort to decorate it. And i'm not biased okay, my own blog is dying too. HAHA. Thanks, Filbert for attempting to post often.

Anyway, Yup, replying the tags, We can have a 4bn outing during the June Hols but i won't be free for the first 2 weeks because i'll be in England on a Literature trip. We can do the usuals

is pretty much English, English and more English. Even the Chinese scholars don't reek of a Chinese accent when they speak in English
And on that note, RJ IS FULL OF INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARS! Vietnamese, Indian, Polish, Chinese (duh), Philippino (how to spell? HAHA), Indonesian...
almost ALL girls fold up their sleeves like this:

And as you can see, we have a TKS (Tanjong Katong Sec)-like skirt. SO SECONDARY SCHOOL. RAHHH I WANT A STRAIGHT SKIRT.
Almost all boys wear a black belt as an accessory. My PW group mate has a belt buckle in the shape of a huge STAR. HAHA rocker sia
Rj people like to use the Dialect word, 'Zao'. like, 'Go'. using it in a normal everyday sentence, 'eh, where did she zao off to?' =.= sounds awful hor.

Volleyball is of very low standing
Rafflesians HATE people from ACSI and Hwa Chong. Especially now, when it's the Sports season and somehow it is almost always these two schools pitting against Raffles in the finals. (e.g. Softball, Basketball, Rugby, Waterpolo, Cricket, etc.)
This is actually quite fun. the Raffles houses are Moor Tarbet (MT), Morrison Richardson (MR), Buckle Buckley (BB), Bayley Waddle (BW), Hadley Hullet (HH). The different houses like to have their own House days (can have more than 1 day per year) then everyone from a particular house can wear their house tees on that day! Okay fine it doesn't sound that special but it's like, during flag raising on house days, you can see the parade square dotted with a particular colour. coool
As Raffles Institution is just next to Rj, you can often see little boys from RI running over to our canteen or 7-eleven in the campus to buy our food or instant noodles and KOPE OUR SEATS! (naughty little boys!)
We have a 5 minute break between every lesson because the campus is too big; there has to be allowance for walking time. HAHA
THEY ARE SO BLOODY CHILDISH! There's a Main canteen where majority of the students go, then a smaller canteen off the Main canteen which they call the Arts canteen for the minority of the population - Arts students - to eat. Nah i know nobody really goes according to it but the fact that they even call it the Arts canteen...

There are also CCA tables in the canteen, like the most famous RUGBY table, which i was told, that if you are a guy and you sit there, Ruggers will pick a fight with you, while if you are a girl, they will ask you to piss off (nicely) HAHA
There's also a Hockey table, where all the players stash their sticks and equipment under the table during season
A Waterpolo + Softball table because there's an alliance between the two CCAs. CHILDISH RIGHT!
As usual, there isn't any Volleyball table because we are 'low class'.

HAHA i can't think of any more at the moment. Any other Rafflesian is welcome to add on to the list! Hope you guys liked this post and pleeease, participate in the 'train' of JC culture entries!

HEY FELLOW BN-ers!

SPOILERS FOR CCHMS P.R.I.M.E.!

1. The WHOLE 3 levels of Staff room will be moved to the SECOND LEVEL of D&T block.

2. New INDOOR SPORTS HALL will be built ABOVE the current, existing Basketball court and linked to CCA Block.

3. There will new COVERED WALKWAYS on the side of the LAKE nearer to Concourse. and New BROADWALKS on the side nearer to field. In addition, New STUDY PAVILIONS will be extended into the lake (not too far off the border). And lastly, there will be a FLOATING STAGE or some sort of Semicircle STAGE on the lake.

4. As you can see from the sky view plan, there is a NEW ENTRANCE to the school, directly IN FRONT OF the concourse. The stone gate will be used for pedestrian entering.

5. Bookshop and Prefect room will SWOP positions.

6. TWO MORE ADDITIONAL CANTEEN STALLS will open.

7. CAFE at Canteen (side nearer to stairs)

8. MAJOR shifts in D&T Block. Calligraphy room and HomeEcons room on third floor. D&T room will be more organised, and utilise the current unused 'Junk' room. Art room and Stitching room on FOURTH floor.

9. FIELD ENLARGED. New Long jump pit ACROSS FIELD nearer to Tennis courts. NEW FITNESS CORNER near GYM.

10. STUDY AREA in Concourse above lake to UPGRADE (i think).

How are you all doing? It's been a long time...since we got together again. Maybe we can take one day off from the June hols and have a class outing. Haha. Or maybe december.

How's life in other JCs? VJ is making life so tough. We are simply going very fast. And maths lectures are OMG...badddd
We are having this lecturer that can't speak properly (coz he mumbles his way thru) teaching Differentiation & Maclaurin's Series (which is crazily tedious..if u all have done it)...He even sighs in lectures. hopeless wan..

But i guess the atmosphere here is rather nice. PW is gonna start in Term 2. I wonder how much busier we will all be soon.

Where should we have our next class outing? (lol) I guess its too early..hehe..

Hello! To those who still check this blog but don't take part in class discussions
i suppose you guys wanna know how the debate turned out?

At first Guowei and Yiting and Minyu were all for picnics at the Botanical (botanic?) gardens or at the Zoo or at some beach, OR having some buffet at TCC, etc etc.

The conversation ended abruptly for don't know what reason, but just now i had this genius idea - Okay wait i don't think i should call it Genius because in BN, Genius is not something to be joking about. Anyway, i thought we should make a Class Magazine with the prize winnings.

The logic is that, if we go out for a class buffet/picnic/lunch/dinner, some of the class would LOSE OUT because surely, some of them would not be able to make it. Plus, the class magazine is sort of like a Solid Memento that you can keep in your cupboard and take it out ten years later and gasp at how few wrinkles you had back then.

i discussed it with Filbert, Lihui and Guowei, and now here's the basis:
The class magazine would of course include many pictures from our Major Class Events, mainly

06 - China Town with the PRCS, if we have enough photos
06 - CIP at Esplanade
06 - Racial Harmony Day
07 - Sentosa Outing, including Steamboat at Marina Bay
07 - Cross Country Cum National Day
07 - Mooncake festival
07 - Last Day of School
07 - Class Chalet

Other less significant events include: UWC college CIP, Steamboat with Mr Teo, Biofest, Sec2 Experential Camp and Graduation Day ( i don't have many pictures of these events with me but if you want to send, sure)

The Class magazine will also be given out to all of you, including Mrs Indra and Mrs Jo Tan, on O level results day, and for that reason, i thought the class mag should have a Blank page at the back for all of you to write messages or Sign your names for your friends, sort of like our school's Annual Year book's Autograph page.

Furthermore, i pictured the magazine to have little post-its (printed ones of course, not PASTED ON) all over it, with Messages from classmates. these aren't Autographs, but messages for 4bn. We will inform you guys if you are requested to write a little something.

Right now, our committee doing this project consists of Lihui, Filbert, Guowei and Xinying (Me). The ideas have not been finalized yet and we of course welcome new and innovative ideas to go about this project. We look forward to your participation!

And, Because i have experience with doing class projects, i know that there would be Xiao3 Ren2 Wu4 (small people) from all over the class who would surely like to Raise an Objection to this idea of making a class magazine, So i'd like to say that IF you have any Protest, please Ensure that you have a BETTER suggestion to show us, if not Fan Dui Wu Xiao (Objection Overruled).

Its me everyone. the one and only Kong.

Surprised that I am posting right?

This is my first and probably last post la, so hope you all read my words of wisdom and enjoy.

Firstly, its been darn hell of a short year in our class. I firstly must apologize to all those studious people in our class for always disrupting classes and making life difficult, haha, but hope you all forever remember me for bringing at least some fun to a class that is flying the chung cheng flag.

I would also like to say sorry for probably being one of lousiest classmate, in terms of enthusiasm la, paiseh I always go to some other place(e.g fishing, cause I hungry ma)

But I would like to say that even though we probably are not the most united and bonded class, sorry to be negative, but as a class we have many things to be proud of. For a class of flag bearers, we are quite sporting and rather efficient. In fact , I think our class is damn hell efficient and no class can beat us as that.

To cut things short, Just hope that everyone come 16th november will bury all grudges and graduate with our heads held high and hands held together. This is the class we graduate from, and forever from this point on to the day we die.

I have to say that its very disheartening that we have to part so soon, so my dear classmates, hope that every year we would be able to have at least a reunion once a year till forever.

To my deskmate from sec3, Mr Xiao jincheng, you have been a great pal, singing and doing crazy stuff with me,

Li hui and jinying, my infront of me deskmates, for all the troubles I caused and tears that I cause to be shed, Sorry, but oh well...we had a great year seating together right?

hey class, well just dropping by... it's been a long time time since i posted :P... so anyway hope you guys have started your studies... don't fret too much over your prelims results.. what's done is done what's more important now is the o levels... and don't worry over which jc to go to, you have plenty of time to do that after the exams... :)

so anyway this post is to clarify that the BBQ night costs $15 per person and i'm very happy to say we have almost 100% attendance for the BBQ night.. as for the stayover i know to pay an additional $20 is expensive as it does not cover food and activities but as i have stated the price is subject to changes so the more of you guys stay the lesser it will cost.... but don't worry about it, just make sure you hand in your $15 to Xin Ying by this Friday first.. i'll update you guys if there are any changes... for now study hard, work very hard for our o levels, this is our first, last and only chance we have, so give your best shot and we'll party after that... :D

First Things First!
Mooncake Festival!
We met in school for the school's Mooncake Festival and attended the performance for a while. there was this really cute one put up by Poi Ching Pri, called Wu Song Da Hu. it was damn damn damn cute when 'Wusong' grabbed the tiger's paws, and it turned out to be a tango between 'em. he even kinda lifted the tiger in a pose!

anyway we walked out during the erhu performance and went to sit by the lake,

where we opened a bag of Ruffles and

played Charades. Hey Vera!
hahah we made her mime 'If life gives lemons, make lemonade'

then it became dark and some very lame people were throwing rubber snakes at us (are we supposed to believe that you all are mature?), so we decided to take our night walk! to the classroom first. hahaha i also dno why.

Back to the concourse again... we needed more group pictures! and asked the VP to take one for us. like very daring ley haha.

anyway, i am not really sure what was the result of the discussion but i do remember weng and guowei at one point, had a certain obsession about converting words in the motto to Latin or German. Anyway, putting the lemons thing ain't bad yeah? it is Benevoriginal!

Our shirts had only arrived yesterday, compared to other classes who had mostly sprayed on their designs. Even though our efforts (okay our money) were worth much more than what the prize was - 6 packs of cheap correction tape - it is how our class had showed as much spirit as we could singing the NDP songs and having many runners in the top few positions

Cassandra, Munwee, Yiting, Yuanyuan and Lihui were the ones who won us the first prize in Sec4 Girls group category!

Come to think of it, it wouldn't have mattered whether we were prize winners at all, because, hands down, the entire sec4 cohort OWNED all the other levels as all the designs of shirts were really unique! besides, just seeing BN doing so much together could have reduced us to tears,

like when we did the Where I Belong 'dance' for Mrs Indra, we were so so so embarrassed when we choreographed it during class but we just kinda, put aside all shyness and just did it. i think that was what won the prize i guess.

like when we all stood up and shouted 3 cheers for us and our wonderful cross country runners

like how Mrs Indra was so enthusiastic and encouraging, allowing me to spray her hair red and wearing our so very nice Tee!

like how we were ALL hoarse from screaming our hearts out but still managed to scream even more when we heard that it was us who had won the last prize. HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!

Alright i would just like to thank the class for going along with our ideas and to put it succinctly - we ROCKED today! you made the mundane cross country awesome.

contreversy and debate abound for the making of the new class tee.

A NATIONAL DAY STUNT OR A CLASS TEE?

well, it is both.. btw.. aniway..
There was much debate over the colour of red or white, polo or not, cheap or not, even wheter it should be shirt or big banner.

well.. our dear chairman suggested white Tee.. and in the process buying off his stock of white t-shirts. Brilliant market strategy, and beneficial for both parties, but pity there aint enuff shirts...

Then came the polo T.. and the immediate response was: WHAT!? SPRAY PAINT ON POLO T?!! SIAO AH!!!

many were in agreement with that.. so this idea was abolished... then came the colour..

RED

"ee, hu wan to wear red... i oso have red at home.. plain smemore..."

WHITE

"white? plain? o.O"

so there came a concensus by majority, ( ok not majority because barely half the class were present.. but they choosed to be absent... so there!) that it be white with printed designs..

Then came the cost..

$15 YAY!!!!

but oh well, its a polo tee after all.. including designs..

the All-Time dreaded mid years are just around the corner, and people (like me) might not have started revising right! remember that graph that Mr Soon likes to describe; the one showing the TREND of every cohort's exam results.

Heya class, the Chalet BBQ Party 06' is now over... and those who missed it here are some photos from the party... well it isn't much though... so the party was rather fun. We went bowling, played pool, basketball, arcade games, Watched plenty of movies including Saw 2, Cheaper by the Dozen, Yours Mine Ours. Hi class... alrite finally school's out for most people... anyway i have booked the chalet for everyone and it will be on 5 Dec Tuesday afternoon till the 7 Dec Thursday morning @ NSRCC formerly known as SAFRA in Changi. I'll post up the rest of the details when i got them sorted and planned out with the committee, but first i would like the class to fill in the list in the link below (just to update the Class Contact List and a few qns to help in the chalet planning) Thanks!

hi class here's another post regarding the emaths project that everyone has to complete during the e-learning week. The groupings for the different chapters are as follows:

Choice A: Chapter 13 frequency distribution ----------- doc bag, o, kong zi's east life
Choice B: Chapter 13 frequency distribution ----------- hard gae, (triangle), eternal lazers
Choice C: Chapter 14 measures of central tendency ---- OLCHN, the lions!, group 711

Each group are to come up with a teaching and learning package, using resources from HeyMaths! and other relavant textbooks & websites. They will do a class presentation after the e-learning week.

Other homework includes:

Chinese -- in Edulearn (complete 5 Cloze passages online and one 200words Article Review)
HCL ------ in Edulearn (complete 5 Cloze passages online and 5 Qns with Ans pertaining to Article)
E maths -- (above)
A maths -- Matrices on heymaths completing the chapter there including the practice Qns.
English --- Read all stories in "A Sense of Belonging" book and do qns on page 32 (A, B, C1, C2)
Chemistry ---- in Edulearn, on Enviroment Unit 11 (go through powerpoint, complete concept map and a online Quiz)
Physics -- in Edulearn, on Waves (go through learning resources and websites to complete worksheets)
Biology --- in Edulearn, on Drugs chapt 16 (go through online resource and website to complete online Quiz and prepare for gameshow on general knowledge of drugs)

Alright that's is all, and just to make sure to log on to the Edulearn go to school web and log in from there with your IC no. as the user. As for the E geog homework i don't think our class have to do as the topic is similar to the one in Chemistry thus our class and 3CR are not listed in there. Of course those taking HCL do HCL only and likewise for those taking CL.

hEY class.. well the 'holidays' have started, well temporarily, so hope you guys enjoy the much of it. Anyway here is the details of the Sec 3 Resilence Camp briefing for those who missed it deliberetely or not...

Date: 2/10 - 3/10
Report at 0745hrs @ Grand Audi
in P.E shirt with jeans/long pants and track shoes

The classes on this day will be divided into two groups, Group A includes 3DL, 3HM,3IT
Group B: 3BN, 3EP,3Rp

Bring:
1. Set of clothes x3 sets (sch pe tshirt/ class tee/ cca tee/sch event tee with 3/4pants and track shoes)
2. Toiletries (impt u bring Talco powder for reasons i dun know)
3. Slippers x1
4. 1L water bottle x1
5. Cap x1
6. Poncho/umbrella x1
7. Torchlight with batteries of course x1
8. Pen & pencil x1
9. Insect Repellant (opt)
10. Instant Noodle x1packet
11. Canned food x1
12. Another small backpack besides the one with the clothes to store the things you are bringing to Pulau Ubin.
13. Sleeping bag (opt.)
14. Sunblock (opt.)
15. Windbreaker (opt.)
16. Own medication
17. Plaster/antiseptic cream (opt.)
18. Another 1.5L water bottle (2 persons bring one) * the teachers will not provide any H2O

The ones numbered in red are compulsory then the rest are up to you to decide if you need them, but it is advisable to bring sleeping bag and windbreaker if you get easily cold, it'll be chilly at night in school. And i would like everyone to bring their class tee!! :D Alright now here are the Camp rules.

Rules:

no one is allowed to leave the camp grounds without the teacher's permission
all students are to keep to their group at all times
no valuables allowed (e.g. MP3s)
handphones should not be used during activities
Be sporting

Safety Precautions:

listen and follow instruction from teachers
alert teacher immediately when feeling unwell
bring your own medication

P.s Oh and hopefully everyone received mr ng's email, if not inform me or yeow chun. And if any qns (except on the details of activity cause no one knows) on the camp post it on the tagboard and i'll try to reply the sameway asap.

Hi class! Hope everyone is having an enjoyable week. Ya ya i know some of the eoy results have come out... oh well i didn't do pretty well for some too... but hope everyone can spend a few minutes to finish this online survey on our next Class Wear! And if you are wonder what is a class wear -- its like our class tee but this time it is a different clothing instead! haha this survey would also be something different from the usual piece of class list passed round the class... :D The survey would end by this Sunday (22/10)!
P.s. oh and don't worry of bugs... there shouldn't be any as this site has been used by a number of my friends for projects.

Exams r comin and ? The DSO has come to town!!! If that is not enough, this 'musical performance' is in collaboration with the Canadian and American airforce! This astounding performance captivates us so much that we r enable to sleep!! How 'wonderful'!
There is that sweet trill of the pneumatic drills. It is complemented by the melodious singin' of the Hornets... And the amazing percussion solos that are heard outside our classroom today... So groovy!!! This entire orchestra is conducted by the world's renowned conductor, our very own 'xiao hei'!!! With her musical talents n charm, we are simply WOWED over by her entrancing lessons on 'conducting' (Our student conductor, Kong, isn't very bad either!) Oh, and that reminds me, who wants concert tickets for the performance by DSO, they r performing every day from 10 to god knows what time with a 1hr intermission from11 to 12. Our teachers Ms Sharmila n Mr Lee loves it!!

(This is purely dry and possibly a lil' satirical humour... If u get wad I mean,.... No offence intended...)

hi class... decided to drop by out of my busy schedule to have a break... oh well the first of week of term 4 is over!! OH NO this means one week closer to our exams arrghhh!!! everyone jia you, oh anyway are there anymore ppl who want to go do 3hrs cip which is mangrove planting... i think there are still plenty of places... well i know everyone busy but still can treat it as a nice little break from all those books and paper... hahaha oh well at least there is a break for our show on 1st oct!! :D hmm... oh well at least this week our projector has been FINALLY fixed as everyone else has tagged yay! haha though too bad its not before we watched he jaychou mvs... oh and i not sure bout this but is anyone interested in MusicVideo Dance? it is going to be held somewhere at maxwell road, starting in december, 24-onehr lessons, i think. interested can ask me or michelle for details.

I think that this few days have been quite fun with Jay chou and Fei Yu Ching lending a hand to a few teachers. However, lessons were spoilt by the bloody !@#@-ing projector. What on earth is the school doing anyway? First the projector was almost unusable and it took the school 5-6 bloody months to repair. A few months later, it shows double vision as if we were looking through the eyes of a drunkard. The Vp walks around whole day but fails to notice this????
Well, let's just pray for a better tomolo.

hiyaee!! yessss i'm back, xin ying here! NOT!

HAHA well i decided to blog as xin ying in her last post was complaining bout why its always only her... so as the class chairperson i'll do the next post and not let the blog 'die' haha... hmm... the 1st week of term 4, well nothing interesting had passed besides the fact our class supposed to have our first 2 English lessons today (well 3 for the PRCs) but for some unexpected reasons we all didn't have any of those! and rather concidental as the teacher for the PRCs is different as it is an extra lesson for them. other than that would be our first Physic lesson with the replacement teach, Mrs Indra, fairly ok but still miss the jolly Mr Gan and the cheerful Mr Teo... sigh think the class also miss them both too... oh well hope u r happy now xin ying haha...
